Eastern Camden County Regional High School’s

              Summer Reading Program

MISSION STATEMENT
Eastern Camden County Regional School District is committed to helping students develop a lifelong love of reading and learning in order to prepare them for college and an increasingly competitive workforce. Research shows that students from schools worldwide that foster free-choice, independent reading programs as part of their established curricula perform better on standardized testing and enjoy more success in degree programs and in careers. Here at Eastern, we offer a free-choice, independent summer reading program as an integral part of our school’s instructional repertoire. This option is available to all students, while Advanced Honors and Advanced Placement English students have a required reading program as well. Explore the pages of this website for summer reading requirements, reading enrichment suggestions, suggested readings, a book recommendation form, and links to relevant literacy research.
